Once you are prepped, Dr. Mesbahi will make an incision beneath your chin and create a groove or pocket to secure the implant in place. Once the implant is secured and positioned on the top of the chin bone, the incision will be closed. In some cases, the incision may be placed inside the lower lip where it connects to your gumline. Both incision techniques help to hide scars. Patients can decide to include dermal fillers into their surgical plan as well.

With nonsurgical chin augmentation, Dr. Mesbahi will use dermal fillers to enhance and reshape your lower face. During your first visit, Dr. Mesbahi will determine the type of filler that will offer you the best results and the areas in which the filler will be placed. Typically, this process only takes about 10 – 15 minutes to complete, and you will be free to return to your usual activities afterward.
